Since
1999 Industria Chimica Valenzana has decided to make investments
even in the Argentinean Republic, more precisely in the town of San
Rafael, county of Mendoza. Argentina, a country deeply devoted to the wine
manufacturing, in its wide extensions may produce huge quantities of lees,
just arising from the production of wine, and those lees are
transformed into Calcium Tartrate
in the ICV
Argentina's plant.
In
fact here ICV Argentina is having a precious experience through the supply
of raw materials coming up from the wineries all over the nation. In its
plant Calcium Tartrate and Surfin/Neutral
Alcohol are produced
The
manufacturing of Alcohol is locally sold to the wineries, which buy it for
various purposes, such as spiriting the musts or for the manufacturing of
aromatic liquors, while the whole production of Calcium
Tartrate is exported to Italy, to I.C.V. S.p.A., its mother
company, where the last production phase is made to obtain Tartaric
Acid.
I.C.V.
S.p.A. exports a small quantity of natural tartaric acid produced in Italy
to the wineries which are clients of its Argentinian branch.
In
Argentina the company is also specialised in the filtering of lees, t ogether with the training of the personnel assigned to the working on
filters, what is normally left to the single wineries in Europe. The
result is, on one hand that more advanced technologies in the process of filtering by
the local producers is developed to obtain a better product,
both in quality and quantity, and, on the other hand, the quantities of
raw material produced are better controlled.
Alcoholera
San Juan S.a, in fact, has ten filters for lees “diemme” type, with
105 auto transported plates 1.20 by 1.20 mts, other than a great number of
small filters used for manufacturing with “Must of Sulfitado”, i.e.
“Mute Must”
